Lazy mom post.

Yeah, no new pictures. John has long hair as I've been busy and haven't had time to get him a haircut, which is the real reason why I've been hesitant to post anything. Not that he cares what he looks like, but I'm embarrassed I've let it go this long.......Tuesday is the big day that the spikes return. I should probably snap a picture of his hair tomorrow to remind myself of why going three months without a haircut is a very bad idea.......

This has pretty much been the end of a very busy period for me. HOORAY! I took my fifth and final insurance class, which ended yesterday (yes, on a SATURDAY), and I'm about 98% sure I passed the test and will get my fancy-schmancy designation. Of course, just my luck, next year, all the classes will now run Wed. thru Fri. instead of Thu. thru Sat. I also passed my other insurance class that I went out of town for in August, so now my new business cards will list two special designations after my name. Aren't I special.........Tracy S. Doe, E.I., E.I.O. This would be much more impressive to me if they read: Tracy $. Doe, B.I.G. T.I.M.E. L.O.T.T.E.R.Y. W.I.N.N.E.R. But, apparently, that would require that I actually buy tickets on a somewhat regular basis, and then follow-up and check up on the winning numbers before throwing the ticket out........that's a lot of work.

Anywho, Halloween is coming, and for two years, I have claimed that I would buy decorations right after Halloween at discount prices - for next year. That still hasn't happened, so we have none, but John did end up getting his pumpkin today. He goes back and forth between calling big orange things pumpkins and apples. Since he's really too young to care what he dresses as for Halloween, mommy & daddy have selected a special costume based on their warped interest in classic monster movies. Stay tuned, real pictures will be posted.

Wish us luck, next Friday night, the Great Paci Pumpkin (don't ask) comes to take John's pacifiers to poor babies throughout the world that don't have their own paci. He's been warned of this occurance for two months, but I have a feeling it's still going to be traumatic. In exchange, the existing paci pumpkin will turn into the great pumpkin full of wonderful gifts and CANDY - and then John gets to take his new great pumpkin and get dressed up in his costume and go TRICK OR TREATING in the business district of our city for more candy - just for giving up his paci's. A very fair trade, methinks. What he ends up thinking, I have no clue. Not looking forward to next weekend - our first without the beloved pacifier.

Ugh! Sounds scary. Kevin doesn't use one (his choice-he loved them at 10 weeks old on the visit trip, but, when we picked him up, he had no more interest in them at all). He still takes a bottle at nap time and bedtime and I've been too much of a chicken to attempt to take them away.
