Night 2 and Trick or Treating

John had a hard time going to sleep tonight - I'm not sure if it's the paci issue, which he only asked for once, or the 10 lbs of sugar he ate today. He slept all night last night, waking at 6:22 am crying for a paci. I'm not sure why he still doesn't realize that on Saturday's and Sunday's there is no need to get up at anywhere near 6:30 like he does M-F, ugghhhh, 2 year olds and their routines. (If you don't know me, I'm saying that in my dripping with sarcasm voice). Daddy got up with him as usual, and mommy continued to sleep until John found his presents from the great paci pumpkin and came to mommy asking for help with the candy crack corn. Fortunately, I had the good sense not to buy him any other candy...John seems to have the same affection for candy crack that I do - eat it until it's gone. Share with no one.

Luckily the rain held off and we were able to go downtown for trick or treating. John wasn't sure what to make of it at first. He had a fit when I put his costume on, and clung to me for dear life as we approached the first candy stand........then he figured out what was going on, and we couldn't wipe the smile off his face.......until we went home and evil mommy wouldn't let him eat his sucker in my new car, so he screamed the whole 5 minute drive. Here's some pics:

"I'm not so sure about this Trick or Treat business.............says Frankenstein"

"Did somebody just put something in my spooky caldron?"

"I think I'm getting the hang of this Trick or Treat business"
"Look I figured out how to unwrap a sucker on my own - my very first sucker. Yum!"

"Somehow I ended up unwrapping another sucker - boy am I good!"

Still obsessed with the deer. I'm sure my neighbors love me taking pictures of their houses. Oh well, it's my yard they're in. Last Monday morning, there were 6 of them, but by the time I ran upstairs to get my camera, they had all walked into the woods. We really have to watch for them now as they are starting to get active, and we see them crossing the roads quite a bit.

What a cute little monster!! I so wish our town did a pre-Halloween trick or treating:(
What state are you in? My kids would LOVE to have deer in our yard!

What great pics! I still haven't given Kevin a sucker. The way he shoves food in his mouth, I'm afraid he'll choke to death, or go running with it and jam it down his throat. He'll definitely need to be in his high chair, or something, the first time I crack. LOL!
