Has it really been almost a month?

Ah huh. Unfortunately, it seems, time flies as fast when your not having fun as when you are. John has hit the terrible twos/traumatic threes with a vengeance and despite this:

This cute little guy is having some major temper tantrums, showing major defiance, and his favorite word is NO! and his favorite phrase is I DON'T THINK SO!

Now for our other family news...........we decided to adopt again! Guess what - it's a girl - dog that is. Meet Josie:

She's a Rottweiler from the pound, her previous owner turned her in as they were moving and couldn't afford to keep her. We had been looking for another dog for a while, but with the conditions that the new dog had to be good with kids and get along with our other dog, we weren't having much luck. We went to the pound to look at a different dog, and the animal control officer suggested Josie (formerly called Abby, which we didn't care for). She didn't appear skittish around John at all, and Little Dog seemed to get along with her so we brought her home; she's been great! It's been a week, and she answers to her new name. She doesn't chew inappropriately and isn't interested in John's toys, and best of all, is housebroken. She's basically a big, lazy oaf who isn't to inclined to move unless food is involved. Of course, we closely monitor all interaction between John and the dogs.

Gotta go, more laundry awaits..........
