Speak now, or forever hold your peace........

<<<<< VOTE - you can see where this is headed. If you don't like what I pick, you can't blame it on me!

On a more serious note, I've got another petition that needs signatures. Stop the evil-doers at UNICEF. Just one year ago, my son was one of those babies at risk. While, yes, adoptions in Guatemala do need reform, to abandon in excess of 3000 children into a society that has no social welfare system also makes no sense.

To give you some background on John's birthmom, she was 23, unmarried, AND HAD A 3RD GRADE EDUCATION. As of last year, she worked as a housekeeper for $18 weekly. One can of John's lactose-free formula was $9-10 (cheap by our standards!), and it could only be bought at the pharmacy. Another FYI - by the time we quit formula, John was going through 3-4 cans a week......do the math. Unwed mothers are not looked upon favorably in Guate, very much unlike our society. What was she supposed to do?
