Guatemala's president has indicated that Guatemalan adoptions will halt to US citizens on 1-1-08, THIS INCLUDES ADOPTIONS CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS! What will happen to almost 5000 children waiting for their families? Guatemala can't answer that question. Please check out Guatadopt.com for better info than what I'm giving you.
Please sign the petition link below. Our government needs to ensure that Gautemala does not halt in-progress adoptions. I'm sorry if I'm saying the badly or I'm not entirely accurate - I've been reading about this situation for about 10 minutes, and don't fully understand everything yet, but I do understand that this is CRITICAL, and action needs to be taken.
